Refund Policy

At ValidMail, we want you to be completely satisfied with our email verification service. This Refund Policy outlines when and how you can request a refund.

1. 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for new customers. If you're not satisfied with our service within the first 14 days of your initial subscription, you may request a full refund, provided:

  • You haven't used more than 10% of your included verification credits
  • This is your first subscription with ValidMail
  • You request the refund within 14 days of your initial purchase

2. Subscription Refunds

2.1 Monthly Subscriptions

Monthly subscriptions are billed at the beginning of each billing period. We do not offer partial refunds for:

  • Cancellations made mid-billing cycle
  • Unused verification credits
  • Downgrades to a lower-tier plan

If you cancel your subscription, you will retain access to the service until the end of your current billing period.

2.2 Annual Subscriptions

Annual subscriptions receive a discount in exchange for a yearly commitment. Refunds for annual subscriptions are available:

  • Within 14 days of purchase (full refund, subject to usage limits)
  • After 14 days: Pro-rata refund may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Annual subscription refunds may be subject to the loss of any discount received.

3. Credit Purchases

One-time credit purchases (outside of subscription plans) are generally non-refundable once the credits have been added to your account. However:

  • If credits have not been used, we may offer a refund within 7 days
  • Partial refunds for unused credits are not available
  • Credits cannot be transferred between accounts

4. Service Issues

If you experience significant service issues that prevent you from using ValidMail as intended, you may be eligible for a refund or credit. This includes:

  • Extended service outages (more than 24 hours)
  • Technical issues that cannot be resolved by our support team
  • Billing errors or duplicate charges

Please contact our support team with details of the issue, and we will review your case promptly.

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund:

  1. Email us at billing@validmail.io with the subject "Refund Request"
  2. Include your account email address
  3. Provide the transaction ID or invoice number
  4. Explain the reason for your refund request

We aim to respond to all refund requests within 2 business days. If approved, refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days.

6. Refund Method

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. Depending on your payment provider, it may take additional time for the refund to appear in your account.

  • Credit/Debit Cards: 5-10 business days
  • PayPal: 3-5 business days
  • Bank Transfer: 5-10 business days

7. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be provided for:

  • Accounts terminated due to Terms of Service violations
  • Verification credits that have been used
  • Requests made after the refund eligibility period
  • Dissatisfaction with verification results (accuracy is not guaranteed at 100%)
  • Changes in your business needs or circumstances
  • Third-party service issues beyond our control

8. Chargebacks

If you dispute a charge with your bank or credit card company instead of contacting us first, we reserve the right to suspend your account and contest the chargeback. Please contact us first to resolve any billing issues.

9. Account Credits

In some cases, instead of a monetary refund, we may offer account credits that can be used toward future purchases. Account credits:

  • Do not expire while your account is active
  • Cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash
  • Will be forfeited if your account is closed

10. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase will apply to that transaction.
